Like so many small businesses, Caelin Gabriel's vision for Shunyata Research began with a concept that the performance of music and video systems could be dramatically improved through proper noise and power isolation. That concept was put through many stern tests during three years spent designing and manufacturing products, either out of his home or under contract.

Shunyata Research's first factory was established in Poulsbo Washington in 2002. Initially limited to 900 square feet, Shunyata Research was a small company that survived by manufacturing extremely high-quality after-market power cords for consumer and trade systems. From such humble beginnings, Caelin Gabriel began -- one part and process at a time -- to develop what many industry insiders now acknowledge are the genre's most finely crafted array of custom designed parts, materials and patented technologies. Within the past two-years, Shunyata Research's reputation and production facility has expanded, including more than 4500 square feet of workspace and over 15 full and part-time employees.
